Description

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Region 2, Albuquerque, New Mexico intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Construction of the Joseph Skeen Visitor Center located at Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Chaves County, New Mexico. Work includes but is not limited to furnishing labor, equipment, supplies, and materials, to construct a wood frame 6100 SF building, drives, walks, landscaping, mechanical and electrical systems, connections to existing utilities and all other items as shown on the drawings and specifications and required for complete installation. The project shall comply with a Certification Level according to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System. A firm fixed priced contract will be issued. The performance period is 270 calendar days. The estimated price magnitude is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Hard copies of the Specifications and Drawings will only be sent to plan rooms in El Paso, Amarillo and Lubbock Texas as well as Plan Rooms in Albuquerque, New Mexico. For viewing only, a copy of the specifications and drawings will be available at the Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Roswell, NM. An electronic version of the Solicitation including clauses (only) will be posted on the following website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov/. The tentative IFB issue date is on or about January 26, 2005. A Pre-Bid Conference is tentatively scheduled for February 15, 2005 at 10am at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at 500 Gold Ave, SW, Room 5108, Albuquerque, NM. Prospective Bidder's must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for award.
