General Description The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools, transportation, personnel and all other items and services necessary to provide maintenance and cleaning service in accordance with the terms of this Statement of Work. 2. General Requirements 2.1 Cleaning up and waste disposal The contractor shall dispose of all waste and scrap material accumulated during the performance of this contract IAW all applicable laws at no additional expenses to the United States Government. The contractor shall keep all work areas clean and tidy. All waste items must be removed daily, on base trash/waste dumpsters shall not be used by the contractor. 2.2 Storage. The contractor may store materials, tools or equipment in the work are at his own responsibility, in coordination with government personnel. The U.S. Government is not responsible for damage or larceny of any equipment or materials stored on site. 2.3 Security procedures The contractor shall assure that all applicable security and fire prevention regulations are followed at all times. 2.4 Welding If welding, cutting or grinding action is necessary, the contractor must have government approval in writing prior to performing work. The contractor shall obtain permission/approval from the Ramstein AB fire department for all welding, cutting and/or grinding work to be performed. 2.5 Utilities The U.S. Government will provide the electricity and water during the performance of the service. The contractor shall provide all necessary connectors and/or equipment. 2.6 Working Conditions The contractor shall not block doors, hallways or public areas from safe usage. Freight handling procedures and equipment will have highest priority at all times. All on site hazmat procedures for materials, storages areas, and equipment must be followed at all times as directed by government personnel. 3. Locations of Performance Building 3334, Ramstein Air Base. - Warehouse, regular freight handling area floor, aprox 10,000 square meters - Warehouse, special handling/hazmat area floor, apox 1,500 square meters Upon request, a site visit will be conducted on 21 Jan 05 at 1000 hrs. - If a site visit is desired, contact the contract administrator no later than 19 Jan 05. 4. Description of services 4.1 Basic cleaning of freight area floor Contractor shall use a scrub/absorb-apparatus every Wednesday and Sunday. Air and truck freight handling sections cannot be cleaned machines and must be cleaned by hand. All areas shall be cleaned with special cleaning solvent as necessary is accordance with manufactures requirement. 4.2 Special handling area and hazmat area These areas must be declared free of dangerous goods before start of cleaning. Contractor must have specific execution approval from designated government personnel for cleaning in special handling and hazmat areas prior to every cleaning session. 4.3 Cleaning of all sections, where scrub/absorb-apparatus can not be used. Contractor shall accomplish all hand cleaning every Wednesday and Sunday. 4.4 Cleaning of all surfaces, as identified, up to 2 meters in height. Contractor shall clean all surfaces up to 2 meters in height every second Sunday. These items include the concrete foundation, steelbeams, computer cabinets, shelving, racks, information boards, control panels, displays, etc. 4.5 Waxing / Polishing of regular handling floor Contractor shall wax/polish the main hall floow twice a month. Air freight and truck freight handling sections must be cleaned/waxes by hand or hand driven machine. 5. Hours of operation 5.1 All services shall be performed Wednesdays between 07:00 and 16:00 hours and Sundays between 04:00 and 10:00 hours.
