- The Iowa National Guard wishes to contract for construction services for the demolition of existing building 102 (1,960 SF) and constructing a new C-E Facility (4,000 SF) in its place located at the Iowa Air National Guard Station, Municipal Airport, Fort Dodge, Iowa. The work includes, but is not limited to, all materials, labor, tools, expendable equipment, utility and transportation services, and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete, in a workmanlike manner. The work consists of d emolition, excavation, pavements, utilities, fencing, masonry, steelwork, siding, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc. At a minimum, the work may require laborers, carpenters, masons, equipment operators, pipe fitters, cement finishers, electricians, sheet metal workers, welders, iron workers, bricklayers, painters, roofers, sprinkler fitters, floor layers, glaziers, plumbers, and insulators. The construction period is 150 days after receipt of NTP. The North American Industry Classification System (N AICS) code is 236210, with a size standard of $28,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Award will be UNRESTRICTED and is being made pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Ref: FAR 19 (c)(2). Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUB Zone Small Business concerns in accordance with FAR 52.219-4 is applicable. This project has been assigned Invitation for Bid (IFB) number, W912LP-05 -B-0001. The solicitation will only be available through the Iowa Electronic Business Solicitation (EBS) via LINKURL: http://216.81.179.134/ebs/advertisedsolicitations.asp. The IFB will be available on or about 3 February 2005. The specifications and IFB packet will be in TIF format that can be read by using MaxReader available at http://216.81.179.134/ebs/advertisedsolicitations.asp under viewers . It is the potential bidders responsibility to monitor the Guards Internet site for the release of amend ments (if any). Potential bidders will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation, plans, specification, and amendments (if any). The bid opening is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on 8 March 2005, at the Iowa Air National Guard Station, 1 33 Test Squadron, Municipal Airport, Fort Dodge, Iowa. A pre-bid conference will be held on or about 15 February at 10:00 a.m. at the 133 Test Squadron. All bidders should plan to attend. Successful bidder must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). CCR Registration information may be accessed online at http:// www.ccr.gov/.
