Description
The Bureau of Reclamation has the need for a Hand Held Hydrogen Leak Dectector. Based upon the specifications required, Reclamation intends to award this requirement as a sole source to H2SCAN unless another company indicates it can provide a similar device that meets the following criteria. General Specifications: Unit must be: hydrogen specific able to detect from 10-50ppm H2 to 100% H2 ability to auto calibrate Warranted for a period of 1 year Have Operable Lifetime of 5 years or longer Unit must be insensitive to: Normal elemental gases like oxygen, nitrogen, helium, argon, etc. Simple compound gases like CO, CO2, NH3 etc. Hydrocarbon gases like methane, butane, propane. Heavier hydrocarbons like vapors from machine oils. Alcohols. Acetone. Aerosols. Silicones. *any of these compounds which may cause a false alarm or false positive must be stated in bid proposal Must not false alarm in the presence of listed gases Technical Specifications: Size/Weight Length.: 13.6" (34.6 cm) Width: 2.9" (7.5cm) Depth: 1.7" (4.3 cm) Weight: 1.7 lb (770g) Response time In seconds, depending on concentration. Power Requirements .15A @ 12VDC Rechargeable battery Alarm Settings User programmable (default 2% hydrogen) Operator Interfaces Real-time settings on LCD display Two LEDs indicate instrument status Audible two-level alarm Signal Output RS-232 serial port (Sub-D 9), ASCII, 8 bit, 19200 baud, no parity, 1 stop Environmental Conditions Storage temperature: 0C to 50C Operating temperature: 0C to 50C Up to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing) Housing Materials High-impact ABS
