Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a contract modification for providing support for the integration of Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) capability into the Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS). NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Systems Company (RSC), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, Arizona 85734-1337. Raytheon is the only company capable of performing this effort. Since 1994, RSC has been the sole developer, designer and manufacturer for the Tomahawk All-Up-Round (AUR). RSC solely possesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tomahawk Block IV missile. RSC currently manages the key requirements, interface, integration, and verification documents for the Tomahawk Weapons System. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Tactical Tomahawk missile is required to provide support to the SAASM-TWS implementation effort, RSC is the only source capable of accomplishing this requirement in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs.
