The representative is required to live in Gaborone, Botswana or Windhoek, Namibia. The contracts will be for a base period of one year with four (4) option periods. The Representative is the principal contact point for the ADF partners, grantees, applicants, other development practitioners, and the host country government. In this capacity, the Representative will coordinate country strategic planning; ensure the proper outreach, screening, project design and appraisal of applications and proposals presented to ADF for funding; oversee and monitor implementation progress and technical support provided to recipients of ADF funds; and collaborate with other national and international development stake holders in their assigned countries. The Representative reports directly to the Director of Field Operations or ADF?s Vice-President. The successful offeror for this position will be responsible for the direct supervision, administration and/or oversight of ADF-financed operations, programs and projects in the two countries to which s/he is assigned.
