- I. PROJECT IDENTIFICATION A. PROJECT TITLE: Re-pave Parking Lot B. BUILDING: ROB ( NCR ) C. LOCATION: 7TH & D Street., SW., Washington, DC D. PROJECT CONTROL NO.: E. Building No. DC0031ZZ F. ESTIMATED CONTRACT AWARD AMOUNT: II. BACKGROUND A. The GSA Office Building Parking lot as years of wear, cracks and broken up sections, and slopes aren?t to the drain. III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The project shall include the following: 1. Re-pave and stripe parking lot III. SCOPE OF CONTRACTOR SERVICES The Contractor will perform all services described herein and all services incident thereto as required under the contract. The Contractor shall conduct adequate research, site investigation and building survey to enable preparation of accurate, with specifications for the project description as stated furnish all labor, supervision and material to remove existing paving speed bumps and re-stripe spaces. A. General Requirements: 1. Mill approximately 2800 sq/ft of existing asphalt to a depth of 4? to make flow to the drain, 2? at curb lines. 2. Excavate down 4? and square cut all patch areas. Compact existing sub-grade to achieve maximum density. Tack / Prime all vertical edges with approved asphalt emulsion to ensure bonding. 3. Immediately before applying the prime coat to the surface that is to be primed, clean all loose material, dirt, other objectionable substance shall be removed by broom or blower. 4. Apply liquid asphalt prime coat at a rate of 0.25 gallon per sq yd. 5. Install paving fabric over approximaly 3000 sq. yds. Of existing pavement prior to resurfacing. Fabric will be tacked down and overlapped at the seams. Wrinkles in fabric will be swept down with a stiff bristle broom to allow maximum penetration of the tack asphalt. 6. Clean and remove all debris from area to be paved. Apply liquid tack coat over area to be paved using asphalt emulsion. 7. Compact / Roller power shall be self-propelled not less than 5 tons and shall have a total compacting width of not less than 60 inches 8. Weather requirements all work shall be done when weather is nor foggy or rainy, atmospheric temperature is not below 50 degrees F. or above and when the temperature has not been allowed 35 degrees f. For 12 hours immediately prior to application, unless otherwise directed. 9. Lay-out and re-stripe parking spaces, line with OSHA bright yellow Traffic paint, speed bumps also with painted to match lines. 10. Inspection Services: The punch list shall itemize all deficiencies observed and in need of correction by the contractor before closeout. VI. FEE AND PAYMENT A. Prior to final Payment under this Work Order, the Contractor shall furnish the Government with a release of all claims against the Government under the applicable portions of this contract, other than such claims as the Contractor may except by description and stated amount of each claim.
