Description

The South Dakota National Guard intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed unit cost contract with estimated line item quantities for construction services of a project entitled Relocate Base Entrance, PN: LUXC 03369 2. Location of the project is at the South Dakota Air National Guard, Joe Foss Field, 1201 West Algonquin St, Sioux Falls, SD. Contractor shall be responsible to provide all labor, equipment and material for the construction of a new 240 SF facility inclu ding pavements, curb and gutter, fencing and miscellaneous security equipment. Contractor shall also be responsible for demolition of the existing Base entrance facility and associated pavements. Site work to include: earthwork, concrete, asphalt, utilitie s and landscaping. General construction to include: demolition, footings, slab-on-grade, CMU, brick veneer, canopy system, insulation, exterior metals and interior finishes. Mechanical work to include: demolition, plumbing, HVAC with DDC temperature contro ls, and other related security related specialized systems. Electrical work to include: exterior distribution, interior power, lighting, communications systems, grounding, and fire alarm systems. Construction services shall comply with the specifications a nd requirements contained in the solicitation/award documents. Contract performance period for construction services is 240 calendar days after Notice to Proceed is acknowledged. The estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The contract wi ll be awarded under Source Selection procedures specified in the solicitation. This project is being procured on an unrestricted basis. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 1542. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220. The s ize standard for small businesses is $28.5 million annual receipt for the past 3 years. Solicitation documents will be available o/a 5 Feb 05. A pre-proposal conference/site visit date/time will be listed in the solicitation document. Interested contractor s and their potential subcontractors are encouraged to attend. The solicitation documents, all amendments, site visit minutes, etc. will be available at the Internet address http://sdguard.ngb.army.mil; then select Contract Solicitations. All contractors a nd subcontractors interested in this project must register at the website. If potential contractor has difficulty downloading the initial solicitation documents from the website, they can provide the Contracting Officer with written request for a compact d isc (CD) containing the projects initial solicitation documents. The written request must be e-mailed to the Contracting Officer or faxed to 605/737-6752 marked Attn: P. Zolnowsky. Verbal requests for the solicitation package will not be accepted. The pot ential contractor is responsible to acquire all other solicitation related documents from the website. It is the potential contractors responsibility to print the project's documents posted at http://sdguard.ngb.army.mil and/or on the compact disc. There is no cost for the plans and specifications. Number of CDs available are limited and shall be issued on a first requested, first served basis. Prime Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration at http: www.ccr.gov to be eligibl e for award.
