Description

The U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center intends to award a purchase order to Biokinetics and Associates Limited, a Canadian owned business located in Ottawa, ON, CAN, on a basis of other than full and open competition under the authority found in FAR Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Biokinetics has extensive expert knowledge in ballistic protective research and development. They have several cooperative working relat ionships with both U.S. and foreign government entities, which will prove beneficial in drafting the EOD PPE standard. They are the only vendor to have past acceptable experience with NATO PPE task groups. Based on all this data, Natick has determined Bi okinetics to be the only vendor capable of drafting them an EOD PPE standard. There is no quotation document available for this acquisition. Interested sources shall make any inquires about this work no later than Wednesday, 2 February 2005. Reference n ote 22; as this acquisition shall be awarded utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, quotations received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Army.
