Description
Red River Army Depot has an urgent requirement for the fabrication of M939 Armor Cab Parts consisting of the following components: Drawings #DTA182041 - 1 each, DTA182064 - 1 each, DTA182320 - 2 each, DTA182492  1 each, DTA182539 - 2 each, DTA18270 8 - 2 each. All of the above drawings and quantities comprise one armor cab kit. The components are to be laser or waterjet cut (Only) from 3/8 inch x 4 foot x 12 foot or 3/8 inch x 8 foot x 24 foot armor plate steel furnished by the government. A minimu m of 30 kits are required each week starting NLT 28 Feb 2005 and continuing every 30 days until a total of 89 kits are completed. The contractor may accelerate the weekly delivery as long as the government furnished armor is available. The government will ship the armor plate to any fabrication facility within the continental United States. The contractor is responsible for delivery of the finished product to Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX 75507-5000. It will be the contractors responsibility to palle tize the kits and band the larger parts such as door panels to the flat pallets. If the contractor has not previously manufactured these exact parts, they will be required to furnish a complete kit made from ASTM A36, 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch plate steel for F irst Article Inspection. No cutting is authorized on the government furnished armor until the first article inspection has been completed and all parts are approved. All components submitted for first article inspection will be permanently marked with fluo rscent paint so as not to be confused with the actual armor parts. The first article kit is required NLT 11 Feb 2005. The resultant award will be a requirements contract for a one year period after date of award. The estimated maximum quantity for this ac tion is 150 kits. Delivery is FOB Destination, Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX 75507-5000. This proposed contract action is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Request for quote W911RQ05T0124 will issue on or about 25 Jan 2005 and will be avail able on the RRAD website: https://redriver.army.mil/contractingframes/opensolicitations2.cfm.
