Description
The Federal Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Automotive Repair/Replacement. The location of the work will be at all Public Works Center sites, including Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Naval Base, Norfolk, Little Creek, Oceana, Yorktown, Dan Neck, and the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform by means of a mobile glass replacement/repair contractor capable of making glass replacement or repairs for all types of vehicles. The work will be performed on a variety of vehicles and is not limited to types and models of cars, vans, heavy equipment, trucks, fire trucks, forklifts, cranes, front-end loaders, police cars, ambulances, hazard material response trucks, box trucks, and tanker trucks. The sizes of the windows are various and shall be determined by the type, make, and model of the vehicle or type of equipment. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811122 and the annual size standard is $6,000,000. The contract term will be a base period. This project will be solicited by an Invitation for a Bid (IFB) and award will be based on the price proposal submitted. This proposed contract is being solicited as a 100 percent set-aside for small business. The Government will only accept offers from small business concerns. The availability of this solicitation will be limited to electronic media; the solicitation will be available for viewing and downloading, free of charge, via the electronic website: http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. The official plan holders list will be maintained on and may be printed from the website. All prospective offerors and planrooms are required to register as planholders on the website. Notification of any updates or amendments to the solicitation will be posted on the website only. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OFFEROR TO CONTINUALLY REVIEW THE WEBSITE FOR CHANGES. The solicitation will be made available approximately 25 February 2005. NOTE: All Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a DoD contract. Contractors may obtain information on registration by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://edi.disa.mil.
