- Description
- The Technical Applications Contracting Office, Ft Eustis, VA has a requirement to proure an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Power Amplifier to support a full range of UHF SATCOM, 5kHz and 25 kHz DAMA and 25 kHz non-DAMA radios operating in the 225 MHz to 400 MHz frequency ranges. To include support for both voice and data communications to include throughputs of MIL-STD-188-181B and other higher data rate systems. The unit will be a rugged, JTIC certified, environmentally sealed unit designed to provide reliable operations for use on the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) (SOAR(A)) aircraft: MH-47s, MH-60s and H-6s. A minimum of 39 units will be purchased, contingent upon the availability of funds in accordance with FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds, with estimated quantities shown as follows: FY 2005 Qty (39), FY 2006 Qty (41), FY 2007 Qty (38), FY 2008 Qty (31), FY 2009 Qty (15). Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves to the Contract Manager or Contracting Officer. Delivery of items will be made to Lexington, KY. This requirement will be an unrestricted, full and open competition. All proposals from responsible sources will be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 336413. The solicitation will be issued as a RFP utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, policies, and procedures. The government plans to release the RFP via posting it to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about 17 Nov 04. The RFP will be made available only on the FedBizOpps website. Once the solicitation is posted, interested parties are encouraged to review the site frequently for any updates on the requirement and/or amendments to the solicitation. The government seeks to award to an offeror using the Lowest Price, Technically Acceptalbe source selection process.
