Description
THIS IS COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR A COMMERCIAL ITEM PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6 ? STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS ? AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR PART 13. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; BIDS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is RA133R05RB1020 and is issued as a sealed bid. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-27. This acquisition is a small business set-aside. The NAICS Code is 334511, and small business size standard is 750 employees. Any amendment(s) hereto will only be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration?s National Severe Storms Laboratory (NOAA/NSSL) has a requirement for an antenna and pedestal subsystem for a 3-cm wavelength dual linearly polarized Doppler weather radar. The subsystem components include: 1. Antenna, 2. Positioner (pedestal) with a controller, and 3. Associated microwave components and waveguides. Specifications for these subsystem components are provided in Attachment 1. Note that the Government is willing to accept an antenna and pedestal fabricated from existing surplus equipment as long as they are modified to meet the specification and the required warranty is provided. (The warranty is described in Attachment 1.) BIDS SHALL STATE WHETHER THE EQUIPMENT BEING PROPOSED IS NEW OR FABRICATED FROM EXISTING SURPLUS EQUIPMENT. Bids shall include a properly completed and signed Standard Form 1449. The firm fixed-price shall include all equipment, delivery (FOB destination) and assembly (if necessary).
