Description

The U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration, has a requirement to perform a Special Survey of Machinery on the T/S ENTERPRISE at pierside, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Buzzards Bay, MA. The work requires survey of machinery including, but not limited to: turbines and flexible couplings, SSTGs, maneuvering valve, main steam strainer, lineshaft bearings, reduction gear, condenser, pumps, gauge testing & calibration, DC heater, pressure vessels, lube oil cooler, etc. In addition, one boiler will require the renewal of all super heater tubes and other boiler work and/or voyage repairs. A dock trial is to be performed once work is completed. A pre-proposal conference and site survey will be conducted 01 MAR 2005. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
