- The A/E will provide complete drawings and specifications for the added security for air intake systems on Bldgs 28 & 29 to guard agaist possible air contamination by outside sources and for a security system control of the external doors on the main building complex. Drawings submittals will be required at 30, 60 and 90 percent design phase. A/E will also provide construction period services. Work will include but not be limited to architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical design. A preliminary cost estimate will be required at the 60% design review. Design drawings and specifications will be reviewed at the 90% design review. Completion of design is expected to be June 2005. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000 - $500,000. SF330 should be submitted to the contracting officer NLT 2/27/2005. All question must be in writing and either faxed or mailed. A/E firms must be located with a 300 mile radiius of the Amarillo VA facility as determined by the most current Rand McNalley Road Atlas. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL BE ISSUED.
