- This is a pre-solicitation notice for the installation of plaster in the main pool and wading pool, and kool decking of the pool area. Summary Statement of Work: The contractor shall install plaster in the main pool and the wading pool. Kool decking will be installed over the entire pool deck. All work is to be accomplished at building 709, the Silver Wings Pool. 1. The contractor shall remove the existing fiberglass to shotcrete from the main pool. The wading pool old plaster will be removed to the shotcrete. The plaster and fiberglass will be disposed of meeting all state and federal regulations due to the hazardous content. 2. The wading pool will have a second drain installed (split drain) to meet state code. 3. The contractor shall cut in and chip areas for the installation of six sets of white shell steps into the main pool. New CT-3 handrails will be installed. 4. Eight lane markers shall be installed. Lane markers will be black, 6 inches wide by 83 feet long, covering 664 linear feet. 5. Diamond Brite Exposed Aggregate Pool Finish will be installed in both pools. ?Blue Quartz? will be the color of choice. 6. Two new 18? plastic drain covers and ring will be installed on the main pool. The wading pool will also have two new drain covers and rings installed. 7. Contractor shall properly prepare decking surface for the installation of 8156 sq.ft of new Kool Decking with acrylic deck lace, covering the entire pool area. All cracks in the deck surface will be properly repaired. Existing decko seals will either be replaced/redone to match. The entire deck surface is to look uniform after completion. Eight ?No Diving? markers will be installed into the Kool decking. 28 depth markers, pertaining to the correct depth of the pool will be installed into the Kool decking going around the pool. The color of choice will be ?Tea and Cream? 8. The contractor is to provide all the materials according to the specifications. 9. Contractor is to provide date of completion. 10. Contractor will start no earlier than 0630. At the end of each day, the site will be clean of debris and stowed properly. 11. Any damage done to the walls during assembly must be repaired to match. Leave the site clean after completion. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: Work under this contract shall be completed within 60 days after receipt by the Contractor of written Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This requirement will be a soliciting cited full and open competition under the requirements of FAR Subpart 19.10, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (NAICS 238990). All contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration www.ccr.gov prior to award of this contract. This solicitation will be issued via a Request For Proposal (RFP) on or about 1 February 2005. This project will be advertised as full and open posted on www.eps.gov Electronic Posting System. A firm-fixed price contract will be issued.
