- Description
- The United States Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Vehicle Directorate (AFRL/VA) solicits information to determine the worth of a hybrid blended wing (or hybrid flying wing) aircraft, or other concepts promising similar capability leaps, as a new common-use platform. Currently, there are no new large aircraft under development aimed at the replacement of our aging B707/C-135-based tanker fleet, and the average age of our military airlift fleet is 30 years.
