Description
A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate, Hubzone, Section 8(a), and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business contractors for this proposed contract. The proposed contract is for the design and construction of a 30, 000 SF Fire & Crash Rescue Station at Niagara Falls ARS, NY. The project consists of 7 pull through apparatus bays, associated support areas, dormitory space, admin areas, kitchen and recreational areas. All supporting utilities, landscaping, and pavemen ts will be included. The project is planned for advertisement in late May 2005 with approximate award schedule of August 2005. The contract duration is estimated at 525 days. NAICS code is 236220. The estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10 ,000,000. 20% of the work is to be self-performed. All interested small businesses should reply to this office in writing or by fax no later than 01 February 2005 at 4:30 PM Louisville Local Time. Responses should include (1) Identification and verifica tion of company's Small Business Status, (2) Past Experience - Describe completed projects that are similar in size, scope to the proposed project (fire stations), the percentage of self-performed work and how it was accomplished, (3) Capability of obtaini ng performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above, and (4) A statement verifying the contractor will self-perform 20% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: If qualified small business firms do not respond, this planned contract action will be converted to a full and open competition.
