- The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm-fixed price Performance Base Service Contract for the sediment monitoring and analysis to determine fractional sediment transport rates, total sediment load, and sediment transport curves for the mainstem Trinity River and selected tributaries. between Lewiston Dam and Douglas City (a distance of approximately 20 river miles), located in Trinity County in Northern California. Principal features of the work include: sediment monitoring and analysis to determine fractional sediment transport rates, total sediment load, and sediment transport curves for the mainstem Trinity River and selected tributaries. Additional monitoring and analysis tasks include: sediment mobilization and scour; sediment storage; topographic and riverine surveying; substrate characterization; installation and operation of temporary streamgages and/or turbidity probes; and experimental applications of new technologies to enhance any of the monitoring tasks described. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Period of Performance is five (5) years (Base year and four (4) options year. This requirement is a 100% total small business set-aside. NAICS Code is: 541620 and size standard is: $6M. Solicitation 05SP202019 will be posted on the FEDBIZ OPS web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about February 9, 2005. The estimated date for receipt of proposal is on or about March 1, 2005.
