Description

The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for a remote control system for two (2) pumps at the Folsom Dam Power Plant. The communication from the Pumping Plant to the Power Plant shall be via fiber optic cable which will be installed by Reclamation. The remote control shall be installed and drive software programming changes shall be made to meet the requirements of the specifications. The Contractor shall perform all tests with a Perfect Harmony Variable Frequency Drive Unit (VFD) to make sure the equipment functions properly and meets code requirements, and have experience with the programming and operation of ROBICON variable frequency drive (VFD) systems. 1) Submit single line design drawings and the monitor or screen layout(s) for approval before completion of the manufacture of the remote system, and submit any changes to the design during factory testing; 2) provide a complete and operational remote control and indication system for the variable frequency drives (VFD) for the two (2) pumps, and perform the programming changes to the VFD's for the pumps; 3) provide 5 copies of a trip report with the test data obtained; 4) provide 5 copies of installation and operation and maintenance manuals; and 5) provide field training on the operation and maintenance of the remote control system to Reclamation employees. The estimated price range for this acquisition is $25,000 to $100,000. All work shall be performed in accordance with a government Statement of Work. Solicitation 05SQ240584 will be posted at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about February 10, 2005 quotes due on or before March 10, 2005. Prospective vendors must be registered in the CCR database prior to award of contract.
