Description: The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River intends to issue a sole source contract to Harris Corporation, RF Communications Division, 1680 University Ave, Rochester, NY 14610 for nine (9) AN/PRC-117F radios, twenty-two (22) AN/PRC-117F Embedded IP Options, nine (9) RF-5850-PS001 AN/PRC-117F Power Supplies, and factory hardware upgrade of four existing AN/PRC-117F radio systems. Harris Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the AN/PRC-117F radio and retains proprietary rights to the necessary data required to manufacture the hardware. In addition, due to the proprietary nature of the communication signals, Harris Corporation is the only company capable of fulfilling the Government?s requirement. See Note 22.
