Description

Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Patuxent River MD 2.5.1.4 has a requirement to obtain a digital data recorder system. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal from and negotiate with Heim Data System, Inc., PO Box N, Belmar NJ 07719 who has been identified as the only company to offer a direct replacement system that is form, fit, function, part number equivalent, and compatible with the current recording system. (FAR 6.302-1) HS100-2040 D200f High speed cartridge media digital recording system (9), HS100-2400 GSR200f Mainframe (1), HS100-2168 CTA96 AIT-3 cartridge with shock mounts (11), HS100-3315 ANR41 8-channel analog and ICP record module (40), HS110-3325 ANP41 8-channel analog replay module (10), HS110-3340 BBM20 Battery back-up (9), HS120-0114 DBM12 blanking module (6), HS100-2186 CH144 hard disk cartridge (2). It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded to Heim Data System, Inc. for the materials. (FAR clause 52.212-1 / Commercial Items FAR 52.212-4) Heim Data is the sole designer of the D200f digital data recorder and accessories. There are no other sources that have access to the technical data owned by Heim Data to develop this replacement system design. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The estimated period of performance is 90 days from award of contract. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government.
