- FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire, as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, services in which a contractor shall provide medical clerk services in support of the Family Practice and Pediatric Clinics at the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), Naval Hospital, Oak Harbor, WA. Services will be performed onsite utilizing Government Furnished facilities, equipment, supplies, and software/programs required for service. Medical clerks shall perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of various medical administrative organizations and functions in a clinical setting. The required services include but are not limited to: screen, record and redirect telephone calls for MTF using appropriate telephone etiquette; schedule patient appointments; take accurate messages and relay information in a timely manner; receive, greet and direct patients, visitors and hospital personnel, provide accurate responses in a friendly, courteous and concerned manner; accurately report and record specific medical information to the professional staff; coordinate patient appointments avoiding conflicts in scheduling; ensure patient forms are complete before sending to the Medical Officer and/or clinical personnel and before transporting to the Medical Records Department for filing upon completion of each outpatient visit; arrange transportation/escort for patients requiring assistance; maintain entries in the computer; prepare requisitions for diagnostic tests; and respond to patient requests for non-nursing service. The Contractor will provide clerk coverage from 0645-1830, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and from 0645-1600 on Wednesday and Friday, excluding Federal holidays. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561110. The Size Standard is $6.0 Million. This procurement is being conducted as a Commercial Items acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12, using Subpart 13.5 test program procedures. A Firm Fixed-Price purchase order is anticipated with a base period performance of six (6) months commencing 01 April 2005 with four (4) one-year option provisions. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will require the submission of price and past performance information. Release of the RFQ will be via the Internet.
