Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a solicitation for Currency Inspection and Trimming System. The requirement will include the following: 1. One (1) each Base unit, Currency Inspection and Trimming System, unit shall be provided as a turn-key system which shall meet the requirements identified in the ?Statement of Need? (SON); Unit prices shall include all labor, material, travel, transportation, installation, set-up, acceptance testing, startup assistance, training, warranty, and emergency maintenance and operating assistance. All units must meet the characteristics of the SON. 2. Seven optional units, Currency Inspection and Trimming System(s), each unit shall be provided upon exercise of the option. 3. BEP anticipates issuing the subject solicitation on or before March 10, 2005 for a Firm Fixed-Price contract with separately priced option items. 4. Units are to be delivered in accordance with the requirements as listed in the SON. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Website at www.eps.gov. Interested sources may submit a written request to be placed on the mailing list so they can be notified when the solicitation has been released. All responsible sources may submit an offer upon receipt of the solicitation, which, shall be considered by the Agency. 18.
