- NAICS Code: 541710 NAICS Code: 541710 THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS FOR STUDENT LABORATORY SERVICES TO BE OBTAINED ON A CONTRACT BASIS BY THE US ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY. The solicitation number is U5RD24 (RFQ-RT-05-00123). The Microbiological and Chemical Exposure Assessment Research Division (MCEARD), Cincinnati, OH, of the National Exposure Research Laboratory (NERL), Office of Research and Development , U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, is seeking a student working towards a degree in Biology, or a related sub-discipline such as Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Sciences, Zoology or Botany, to provide services under a contractual agreement in support of the Microbiological Exposure Research Branch (MERB) research projects. The student will provide technical laboratory support for research projects focusing on identifying and quantifying molds. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to: (1) preparing reagents; (2) DNA extractions; (3) QPCR amplification and purification; (4) assembling the data for analysis; and (5) other general laboratory duties necessary to carry out research. The contract will be for one year with a one year option period. All questions are to be forwarded via email to the Contract Specialist at the following e-mail address: southerland.john@epa.gov.
