- Description
- The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to issue a sole-source contract to Utah State University/Space Dynamics Laboratory (USU/SDL) for continued technical and engineering services. Award is planned for on or about April 29, 2005 for an estimated total contract value of $100 million over a five-year period of performance. Procurement of these services will provide for continued quick response technical advisory support to MDA and other government agencies, the utilization of in-house technical expertise, instrumentation, and facilities to design, analyze and test sensors and sensor systems, and transition of technology from the laboratory to industry and/or other laboratories. Award will be made pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (3) (B), to maintain an essential engineering, research, or development capability provided by an educational institution. MDA and other government agencies will utilize USU/SDL?s status as a core sensors development center under DoD?s University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) designation.
