Description
TSA has a requirement to design, fabricate and install one environmental enclosure in the baggage make-up area of Terminal B at the Sanford Orlando Airport (SFB) in Sanford, Florida. The environmental enclosure will enclose all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checked baggage screening equipment and TSA screener working areas. The size of the desired enclosure is approximately 30 feet wide by 180 feet long by 18 feet high. The enclosure must allow for easy movement of TSA personnel in and out of the enclosure and the unimpeded movement of checked baggage on the existing baggage carrousels. The enclosure at a minimum is to be designed and constructed to be; air conditioned, adequately lighted and fire protected to meet all local and state codes and to meet all airport and TSA requirements. The preferred material for the enclosure walls shall offer adequate insulation value and be assembled in individual panels for ease of assembly and disassembly if required. The enclosure openings shall include roll-up doors, pedestrian doors, windows and freezer curtain flaps, per TSA requirements. The enclosure shall be protected by exterior bollards/barriers. Prior to the construction of the enclosure, the contractor shall prepare a complete set of engineering documents (drawings and specifications) to be submitted to the airport authority and TSA for approval. The contractor shall also prepare and submit an HVAC design sufficient to satisfy Florida Code requirements. Following the construction of the enclosure, the contractor shall submit an as-built drawing package to the TSA and airport authority. Parties interested in competing for this requirement must notify Mr. Adam Freimanis with an emailed one paragraph notice of interest by 11 February 2005 at 11:00 A.M (EST). All emails must be sent to Mr. Adam Freimanis at adam.freimanis@dhs.gov. All notices of interest must contain: (1) company name, (2) main point of contact (POC), (3) POC email address, (4) POC phone number and (5) company address. Interested parties are notified that only vendors registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) are eligible to receive a contract award. Only interested parties who provide the notice of interest in the format and timeframe listed in this announcement will receive an RFP (request for proposal). An RFP will be provided to the interested parties via email after 14 February 2005. The government anticipates that an industry day will be conducted after the release of the RFP.
