- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Aviation System Standards, Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Division has identified a requirement for installation (and associated technical support) of Max-Viz equipment on FAA Flight Inspection Aircraft. The Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Division is responsible for maintaining Flight Inspection aircraft for both civilian and military mission requirements. These services are required in accordance with the standards established per the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP). The Max-Viz equipment (EVS-1000) manufactured by Max-Viz Inc requires installation by certified sources. In accordance with AMS policy 3.2.2.4, the FAA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Total Aircraft Services Inc. (TAS), Van Nuys, CA. FAA AVN conducted market research and the results support our determination to solicit and negotiate with only one source.
