Description
The purpose of this amendment is to address potential offerors questions. Question 1: Where will the controller be located in proximity to the tower? Answer to Question 1: The hand controller will be used primarily for system integration and setup. It will most likely not be used during normal operations. For integration purposes, the hand controller will either plug directly into the payload (when unmounted) or will be connected via an extension cable down to the trailer platform. Question 2: Do you require each camera to have a separate controller or will all three cameras be controlled by one unit located at some central facility? Answer to Question 2: The camera positions themselves will not be manned. All three cameras will be controlled via wireless network from a single command post. This post will provide camera control and monitoring. Multiple users on the network will have the capability to control the cameras on a prioritized basis. Question 3: Are monitors required as part of this solicitation. If so, what type of monitors? IE, 19"rack mounted, LCD, etc..... Answer to Question 3: Monitors are not required as part of this solicitation. If a system levies particular requirements on a monitor (i.e. touch screen, etc) these must be stated in the proposal. Question 4: What is the desired range performance of the camera? Answer to Question 4: It is desired that the camera system be able to detect a 122mm rocket launch plume at a distance of 20km. Question 5: Is a double field of view (DVOF) preferred or will a single field of view be acceptable? Answer to Question 5: A DFOV or greater field of view is required. Question 6: What is the ideal resolution of the camera? Answer to Question 6: 320x240 pixels is the minimum, 640x480 is desired. Question 7: Can contractors propose GSA Schedule items? Answer to Question 7: GSA Chedule offers will be evaluated.
