- This work consists of maintenance dredging of the Mobile River, Mobile, Alabama. This work will require dredging to depths up to 42 feet over various channel widths. The dredging material will be disposed in various upland disposal sites. This con tract will require a large cutterhead pipeline dredge, 24-inch to 30-inch dredge, due to the channel widths, and depths. Estimated cost range of the project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation documents should be available on or about 4 Februa ry 2005. Mr. Leo J. Hickman is Contracting Officer for this project.: NOTES: 1. The plans and specifications will be issued on the internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. 3. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. 4. Critical Path method (Network Analysis System) is not required. 5. For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $17,000,000 for the past three years. 6. This solicitation may include options which may not be awarded. 7.
