Description

Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Program Manager for Training Systems (PMTRASYS) intends to award a sole source contract for Special Effects Small Arms Marking Simulation (SESAMS) kits to SNC Technologies, Inc.(SNC), 5 Montee des Arsenauz, Le Gardeur (Quebec) J5Z 2P4 in the amount of $25,000,000.00. SNC?s SESAMS kits are Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS), compatible with the U.S. Marine Corps current approved non-lethal Simunition FX marking cartridges (5.56cal and 9mm) manufactured by SNC. SNC is the only known manufacturer of SESAMS marking cartridges that has successfully passed all munitions tests performed at Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center and has been approved by the Weapon System Explosives Safety Review Board (WSESRB). Additionally, SNC is the only company who can start delivery of SESAMS kits that use the approved marking cartridges within 30 days after award of a contract to support ongoing force-on-force training of Marines deploying in support of Operation Iraq Freedom.
