X 17.0 in. X 14.5 in. Data is proprietary. Anticipated Solicitation issue date: 14 Feb 2005. Anticipated award date: 15 April 2005. A firm-fixed price Buy is anticipated for this requirement. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. Qualification requirements for this critical item cannot be drafted because the Government does not posses the necessary information and equipment to qualify a new contractor to repair this item. Due to this rationale, it is hereby determined that it is unreasonable to develop or satisfy the standards for qualification that a prospective contractor must satisfy for the repair of the part. Government-furnished drawings are not available. The following notes apply to the procurement: Note A, Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. SOLE SOURCE TO: The Boeing Company, Seattle WA. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or Potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor Concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict Confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
