Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCURMENT: The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to Virginia Bioinformatics Institute, Washington Street, Blacksburg, VA 24061-0477, on a sole source basis, the services to per form microarray assays and data analysis in order to guarantee the best correlation between previously generated microarray data in our laboratory and the new ones to be generated to reduce technical variability. To select another source would result in l ost time and resources in order to repeat initial studies for comparability. This procurement shall be under other and full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.301-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.
