Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), St. Inigoes, MD intends to issue a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the duration of three years with BAE Systems, Advanced Systems Division, 1 Hazeltine Way, Greenlawn, NY 11740-1606 to provide materials and services necessary for the repair and servicing of the Countermeasures Set AN/SLQ-20B and its subassemblies. This requirement is to support the Ship and Shore Based Electronics System, Identifications Systems Division for the Countermeasure Set AN/SLQ-20B and its subassemblies. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supply for services will satisfy agency requirements. BAE Systems is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Countermeasures Set AN/SLQ-20B and its subassemblies. BAE Systems is the only known company possessing the technical capability and knowledge of the equipment to provide the required parts and services. BAE Systems retains proprietary data rights for the Countermeasure Sets and Shop Replacement Assemblies. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may submit information, no later than 15 days after this synopsis is published, which will be considered by this agency. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The period of performance under the proposed BOA will span a period of three years tentatively beginning 15 March 2005 through 14 March 2008. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811213 with annual sales volume of $6.0 mill.
