Description
CONTACT Mohammad A. Gani,Mechanical Engineer. Helmet Mount, NSN 5855-01-457-2953, Used with the AN/PVS-7 (B/D), & AN/PVS-14. POC TECHNICAL, MOHAMMAD GANI (732) 532-4090 POC LOGISTICS, Annika Otten (732) 532-3589. This is a market survey to locate a source for production, testing and delivery of 101,895 Helmet Mount.These Helmet mounts must be one handed, 3-way adjustable. The Helmet Mount is a part of a Night Vision System used by individual soldiers for night operations. It secures the Night Vision Device (AN/PVS-7 or AN/PVS-14) to the Personal Armor System Ground Troops (PASGT) helmet allowing freehand support for use with a weapon, protective mask and/or other purposes. Per Army doctrine, the AN/PVS-7 (B/D) and AN/PVS-14 are deemed to be a critical combat multiplier. Contract may be awarded around 07-15-2005.Interface and Source Control control drawing No. A3256368 and A3256369 respectivly are available upon request. This is not a request for proposal. Interested suppliers must provide how they will acquire the mount, i.e., from the source, Norotos, or by their own production and may include brochures which detail and complete information on technical, operational and performence characteristics. Sample items/hard ware are desired but not required and will not be returned. Closing date for responses is 15 days after publication of this announcement.
