Description
Modification Number N68936-03-D-0036-P00001. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to increase the maximum quantity of digital transmitters that can be ordered under Contract N68936-03-D-0036 with Emhiser Research, Verdi, NV, from 500 to 650 units. The transmitters will be used as components of a telemetry system for the Sidewinder Missile Project training rounds. The transmitters must meet the required form, fit, and function requirements of specification AS-6069A (Performance Specification Naval Air Systems Command Department of the Navy Item Specification for Transmitter, Digital) and Drawing 639AS9452D (Source Control Drawing for Transmitter, Digital) for a preexisting missile telemetry fabrication package. The transmitters shall also meet JF-12 frequency management requirements and be TEMPEST certified in accordance with NACSEM 5201. The transmitters shall be fixed-deviation telemetry transmitters operating into a nominal 50-o! hm load on a specified frequency in the ultra-high frequency (UHF) telemetry band from 2200.5 to 2259.5 megahertz (MHz). The transmitter operates on the normal aircraft or missile 28-volt-direct-current (VDC) power supply. Input to the transmitter is TTL signals at a bit rate of 1 megabit per second (Mb/s), +/-5 percent. The transmitter center frequency is selectable, to allow selection of any center frequency, in accordance with the standard bandwidth channels specified in IRIG 106. To qualify a product under Drawing 639AS9452D, a vendor shall submit four Qualification units that meet all the requirements of specification AS-6069A and Drawing 639AS9452D. Each Qualification uni! t shall meet all specified requirements. Failure of any Qualification unit to meet any of the requirements specified shall be cause for rejection. Respondents, other than the above, should submit, at a minimum, their qualifications and any other information considered pertinent to the requirement to the Contract Specialist within 45 days after publication. The POC for this requirement is Erin Strand, Contract Specialist, at 760-939-7309 by phone, 760-939-8329 by fax, or erin.strand@navy.mil by e-mail.
