Description
Modification Number N68936-03-D-0048-P00002. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, intends to increase the maximum quantity of Solid State Quartz Rate Sensors that can be ordered under Contract N68936-03-D-0048 with Systron Donner Corporation, Concord, CA, from 500 to 650 units. The Solid State Quartz Rate Sensors Part Number QRS-11-00500-423 will be used as components of a telemetry system for the Sidewinder Missile Project training rounds. The rate sensors must meet the required form, fit, and function requirements of Drawing 639AS9453C (Source Control Drawing for Rate Sensor, Quartz) for a preexisting missile telemetry fabrication package. The Rate Sensors measure, in degrees, the roll rate of the missile under test, and will be physically placed in the telemetry section, which replaces the warhead section of the Sidewinder Missile that will be destroyed during testing. The required dimensions of the missile design for rate sensors are 1.625-! inch maximum diameter and 0.640-inch maximum thickness. The following additional characteristics are provided: Electrical Input Voltage: +/-5 VDC,+/-5%; Input Power: <0.8 watts; Full Scale Output: +/-2.5 VDC. Performance Range: +/-500 degrees; Bandwidth: >80 Hz. Environmental - Operating Temperature: -40 to +70 degrees C; Storage Temperature -55 to +110 degrees C. To qualify a product under Drawing 639AS9453C, the contractor shall submit four Qualification units that meet all the requirements of Drawing 639AS9453C. The vendor must, at their own expense, submit four Qualification units, including test data, for evaluation and testing by the procuring activity. The Qualification units shall be manufactured using the same methods, materials, parts, processes, equipment and procedures proposed for production. Each qualification unit shall meet all specified requirements. Failure of any Qualification unit to meet any of the requirements specified shall be cause for ! rejection. Respondents, other than the above, should submit, at a minimum, their qualifications and any other information considered pertinent to the requirement to the Contract Specialist within 45 days after publication of synopsis. The POC for this requirement is Erin Strand, Contract Specialist, at (760) 939-7309 by phone, (760) 939-8329 by fax, or erin.strand@navy.mil by electronic mail. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Note 22.
