Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons - US Penitentiary, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, intends to make award for the provision of Dental Assistant services. The services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The contract type is a requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The contract shall consist of a 6 month base period and the possibility of four 6 month option periods. The estimated quantities are as follows for each dental assistant: Base Period - 680 sessions; Option Period 1 - 680 sessions; Option Period 2 - 680 sessions; Option Period 3 - 680 sessions; Option Period 4 - 680 sessions. Each session is defined as (1) one hour in duration. The solicitation will be available on or about February 4, 2005, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about February 24, 2005 . The solicitation is set-aside for small business. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 621399 and the applicable small business size standard is $6 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
