FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO JAMES LANG. YOU MAY FAX OR MAIL YOUR REQUEST ATTN: AMSAM-AC-LS-A, PEGGY SALTERS, CONTRACT SPECIALIST, FAX 256-955-9220. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. PRON: AX5F51 69AX, NSN: 1615-01-262-9482, PN: 7-311511182-17, QUANTITY: 266 Each, applicable to the AH-64 Airframe, with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA 17070-5001. This item is restricted to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co., Cage Code 8V613, because this part requi res engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). Production Lead-time with First Article Testing is 266 each, 420 Days After contract Award (DACA). Production Lead-time without First Article Testing is 266 each, 280 DACA. Production Lead-time with Article II Clause is 266 each, 350 DACA. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army .mil/cmo/ and looking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation requirements. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, solicitatio n will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors mus t meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. NOTES: 22, 23 and 26.
