Description
The purpose of this modification is to answer contractor questions regarding the Swept Frequency Test Set Synopsis No. N68335-05-R-0001. The following is provided for informational purposes. 1. Contractor Question: Will this unit be stationary or portable? Government Response: Portable (size and weight guidelines included in the RFP) 2. Contractor Question: Can we arrange a site visit to see the legacy equipment and meet the engineers? Government Response: We do not believe that sharing any information on the Legacy unit would be beneficial. The unit design for this new unit should differ significantly from the legacy unit and the performance characteristics are also expected to be different. In short, we believe providing any data pictures etc regarding the AN/USM-482A would misguide any potential offerors away from the requirements and specification soon to be released. 3. Contractor Question: If not, do you have pictures of the legacy unit for our evaluation? Government Response: See Government response for question 2. 4. Contractor Question: Is their a Technical Data Package available for the legacy unit? Government Response: No. 5. Contractor Question: Who was the original manufacture of the legacy unit? Government Response: U.S. Navy, NAC Indiannapolis NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (31-JAN-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
