Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-27. This is a 100% small business set aside. NAICS is 811310. Size standard is $6 Million. Request for Quotation Number is SP071005Q0010. The Defense Supply Center Columbus, 3990 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43216 intends to procure the following: SCOPE OF WORK FOR REPLACEMENT OF RACKING SYSTEM DRMO MECHANICSBURG Contractor shall replace damaged warehouse racks that are located in Buildings 205 and 206 at the DRMO Mechanicsburg, 5450 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Contractor is to identify the damaged rack by any means necessary so that they can easily be seen by their workers. Contractor will be responsible for moving the property off the racks and then placing the property back onto the racks ensuring that the property is placed in the exact location. Contractor will return moved property back to their original locations once the damaged racks have been replaced by the new ones. Government personnel will be available to ensure the property locations are correct. Contractor is responsible for procurement of the pallet racks and to ensure the material is sent to the DRMO. Contractor is also responsible for the installation of the new racking. Contractor is to ensure that the new pallet racking is another color other than the color of the existing racking. The new color could be a light green. The Contractor can place the damaged racking material in a designated area determined by the government and the government will dispose of the damaged racking material. There are a total of approximately 400 damaged areas of racking that need to be replaced in Building 205 and building 206 combined. Contractor is responsible for providing all necessary equipment to install the pallet racks. This would include forklifts to move the material around.
