Description

The Combat Equipment Battalion Hythe, Southhampton, United Kingdom is tasked to provide support equipment for two vessels as part of a modification program at Hythe Shipyard, United Kingdom. This includes the installation of two Hydraulic Towing Gea r Controls signed to meet military requirements. The applicable NAICS is 336611. The size standard is 1,000 employees. The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Timberland Equipment Limited, P.O. Box 490, Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded. Required period of performance is through 15 April 2005. Timberland Equipment Limited modified the current US Military version of the Hydraulic Towing Gear Controls. Timberland Equip ment Limited has the knowledge, experience and skills required to provide these services. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy the government agen cy requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. The Benelux Regional Contract ing Office, may consider responses. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. No phone calls will be accepted. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. NOTE: C ontractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
