Description
The Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, is the Armys foremost leadership, training, transformation and battle command development center. It supports the development of relevant and ready land formations with a campaign capability. T he Center provides leadership and command supervision for five core competencies: Leader Development, Collective Training, Army Doctrine, Battle Command and Lessons Learned. In order to accomplish all these missions, the Combined Arms Center increasingly relies on contractor support, and current trends indicate continuous movement in this direction. The Fort Leavenworth Garrison provides an environment for people to grow and flourish in service to America. While contracts routinely provide personnel resources to support the mission, the Combined Arms Center is also looking toward implementing more in novative methods to provide future required deliverables. This potentially expands opportunities for businesses to participate in these important missions. To learn more about the Combined Arms Center and how your business might support the Center in these efforts, plan to attend the Industry Day on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 (9:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m.), at the Frontier Conference Center (FCC). A no host luncheon will immediately follow the event. During the event, Government presenters will provide information about the Combined Arms Center and its current and anticipated future requirements. Interested firms must provide the names and contact information of your representatives by 24 February 2005, to Viola Owens, Northern Region Contracting Center-Leavenworth, email: Viola.owens@leavenworth.army.mil. Additional information will be provided to respondents as plans are finalized.
