Description: The US Army has been presented an opportunity by a U.S. vendor to participate in a demonstration of an Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA) system at testing area '38 NIII' of the State Unitary Enterprise under the Ministry of Defense in Russia, with the a im of demonstrating the system's efficiency in the destruction and/or defeat of munitions launched against the ERA targets, involving both unitary and tandem anti-tank grenades. TACOM intends to negotiate & award on a sole-source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), to NEXEL Defense & Aerospace, Inc. for the reimbursement for any logistics, personnel, and equipment involved with the demonstration. The estimated value of this requ irement is $70,000. Note 22 applies.
