Description: Transportation Safeguards Center, Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Office of Secure Transportation, Oak Ridge, Tennessee - This construction contract will include construction of a 24,000 square foot, single-story build ing that will include an armory, locker rooms, break rooms, office space, restrooms w/showers, and other appurtenances within the building in support of a fully functional stand-alone technical support facility. Site work will include construction of ammu nition bunkers. Concrete paved access drives will be required to accommodate 18-wheel tractor/trailer type vehicles and paved parking for over 100 vehicles. Magnitude of work is $1 - $5 million. Issue date is on or about 22 February 2005, bid opening dat e is on or about 24 March 2005.
