Description
The Government intends to award a best value Landscape Planting Services contract for work to be performed within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District. Coverage of the scope excludes the address at 7400 Leake Ave. The best value te chnique to be utilized in evaluations will be performance price tradeoff. The scope of the work encompasses the contractor providing healthy, pest and disease free, thriving and attractive, as well as professional appearance of exterior landscapes. The R equest for Proposal is for a firm-fixed priced requirements contract under solicitation W912P8-05-R-0014. The basic contract is estimated to commence on 1 April 2005 through 31 March 2006 with four one-year option performance periods. A site visit is high ly recommended. This action is set aside 100% for Small Business concerns under NAICS code 111421, size standard $750,000. The RFP and all information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportu nities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fedbizopps.gov: It is and will continue to be all potential bidders responsibility to monitor the fedbiz website for any amendments, updates, bidders, library, responses to questions and answers as th e government will not be maintaining a mailing list. It is incumbent upon all potential bidders to download from the fedbiz website. Any communications must identify the RFP number, W912P8-05-R-0014, company name, address, phone number including area code, facsimile number and point of contact. No phone call requests will be accepted. The anticipated solicitation release date is on or about 18 February 2005 with a closing date of 11 March 2005. NOTE: Bidders must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is required by Federal Regulations (See FAR 52.204-7004), ther efore you must be CCR registered to be awarded this project and payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DU NS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. NOTE: SAFETY AND HEALTH COURSE. The Contractor shall be required to complete OSHA 600  Collateral Duty Safety and Health Course and submit cert ificate of completion to the Contracting Officer prior to commencement of any work.
