Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking sources for the manufacture of the ADU-876/E Aircraft Adapter, P/N 2445AS100-1. The ADU-876/E Aircraft Adapter is used to support weapons for transport via an A/M32K-4A rough terrain trailer at USMC shore base facilities. The required basic quantity is for one (1) each pre-production Aircraft Adapter, four hundred fifty (450) production units and associated technical data. There will be four (4) option periods of potentially four hundred fifty (450) each for a total of 2250 production units. This procurement includes technical data requirements. The pre-production unit shall be ready for contractor testing within 180 days after contract award. Government approval or disapproval of the pre-production unit will be provided within 60 days of completion of testing. The first shipment of production units shall begin 180 days after release for production and will be delivered at the rate of 38 units per month. The Aircraft Adapter is an aluminum weldment that can be broken down for storage and transportation. In it?s assembled configuration the adapter is approximately 48 inches long, 29 inches wide, 19 inches high and weights 260 lbs. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select ?Doing Business? and then ?Open Solicitations.? Look for amendments on the web page. Hard copy of solicitations and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The solicitation will be posted on the web, on or about 15 February 2005. The Government will not accept electronic offers. Interested Firms should request a copy of the Drawing Package. Drawing Package will not be available until after release of the solicitation.
