- Description
- Fixed-wing aircraft services for the Chugach National Forest. Anticipated bases will be at: Cordova, Girdwood, Seward and Anchorage. Multiple awards are anticipated. The need consists of standard factory equipped aircraft, straight floats, amphibious, snow skis or capable of wheeled beach landings. Furnish flight services, fully contractor operated and maintained, under the direction and control of the Forest Service. Fully operated includes a Forest Service certified pilot meeting the requirements of this schedule and the specifications on a call-when needed basis. Offerors may propose a single aircraft type or combination of types. Orders for aircraft will be placed with the Contractor from time-to-time as needs for the service become known to the Government. Contractor shall furnish all facilities to include landing, heated waiting room, restrooms, secure freight storage area, telephone and vehicle parking. Aircraft will be used in support of Chugach National Forest program requirements in South Central Alaska. Program requirements include transportation of passengers to and from Forest Service bases, camps and field locations, wildlife surveys, wildlife tracking, fire reconnaissance, law enforcement reconnaissance, and search and rescue. Contractor will be required to be certificated under 14 CFR, Part 135, Air Taxi Operators & Commercial Operators for the category and class of aircraft required under the contract. The term of the contract will be one year, 1 July 05 through 30 June 06 with two annual options to renew. Award of this project to be accomplished under Full and Open Competition, pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
