- This is a Request for Information (RFI). HQ AMC/A34YAS is preparing to acquire air transportation to move passengers and cargo via contractor-furnished, IFR -equipped, multi-engine aircraft. The aircraft must be capable of transporting 30 passengers and/or cargo (88? X 108? 463L pallets) totaling 25,000 pounds from Elmendorf AFB AK to King Salmon AFS AK to Eareckson AFS AK and back to Elmendorf AFB. The missions will be flown about twice a week for an estimated 308,256 miles for a 12-month period. Based upon the results of this RFI, anticipated period of performance will be 1 Oct 2005 through 30 Sep 2006 with four 12-month option periods. We are required to conduct market research as part of acquisition planning. (PER HOUR, MILE, ETC) 6) IF REIMBURSABLES ARE STANDARD PRACTICE, WHAT ITEMS ARE GENERALLY PAID 7) BRIEFLY DESCRIBE YOUR SECURITY POLICY 8) WHAT INSPECTION METHODSARE USED TO INSURE SATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE This agency has not made a final commitment to procure the stated requirement and this RFI should not be construed as a commitment or authorization to incur costs in anticipation of such procurement. This agency is interested in obtaining responses to this RFI from prospective contractors but no contractor shall be reimbursed for providing this information; therefore, the Air Force will accept the requested information in whatever format it is provided. All information provided by the contractor will become property of the Air Force and will not be returned.
