Description

This is an unrestricted procurement. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing one box culvert grade control structure and one reinforced concrete pipe culvert grade control structure in Tate County, Mississippi. Principal features of work include clearing and grubbing, excavation, fill, removal of existing concrete bridge, removal of existing corrugated metal pipes, relocation of existing ditches, control of water, precast concrete box culverts, rei nforced concrete pipe culverts, cast-in-place concrete inlet and outlet structures, backfill, engineering fabric, filter stone, stone protection, granular surface course, corrugated metal pipes, erosion control matting, two riser pipe structures, using the Government-furnished software (RMS) for electronic exchange of information and management of the contract (See Section 01312 QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM), complying with all requirements of Section 01452 MILESTONE COMPLIANCE REVIEW PROCEDURE (MCRP), erosion co ntrol, storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. All units of measure of are metric. The value of the proposed work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Con tracting Office WEB PAGE at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil./contract/. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check the VCCO Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or a bout March 3, 2005. Bid opening date on or about April 5, 2005.
